Topics of MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica are already set

The biggest event of geotechnology of  Latin America, MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2012, is already set with date and place: 29-31 of May at the Frei Caneca Convention Center, in Sao Paulo (SP).

The approval of format and the forums’ topics, seminars, workshops, courses and coinciding events were accepted from the evaluation of those who participated in this year’s MundoGEO#Connect, and also with an online survey in which visitors of the MundoGEO portal could give their opinion and suggest topics.

Reaffirming the success of the first edition, which was held on 14, 15 and 16 of June this year, MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2012 will bring together over 10,000 attendees, including participants’ technical activities, fair’s activities and people connected via social networks and online workshops, which will broadcast about 10% of the event. Yet, the number of auditoriums for the activities of the event was expanded by 100% in relation to the 2011 event.

MundoGEO#Connect 2011 Seminar

MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica emerged from the perception of its founders on issues that had the biggest influence in major social networks like Twitter and Facebook. Thus, an objective of the event is to connect, either in person or online, users of geotechnologies, so there is an exchange of ideas on the current view of the industry. Geocommunities Workshop, for example, will be a space for participants of any group who can meet and exchange ideas and information.

MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2012

With the theme “Sharing information for a better world”, MundoGEO#LatinAmerica Connect 2012 will emphasize the current challenge of producing geospatial data, following the standards that make their full use simple by the information system users.

In this edition, the spots available at the MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica products and services exhibit were increased by 50%. Besides, the number of auditoriums for the activities of the event was expanded by 100% in relation to the 2011 event.

About MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica

The MundoGEO#Connect LatinAmerica 2012 is the largest geotechnology industry event in Latin America and will take place between May 29 and 31, at the Frei Caneca Convention Center, in Sao Paulo (SP). With the theme “Sharing information for a better world”, the expectation is to bring together 10,000 people in the field, including participants in the workshops and mini-courses, the exhibit visitors and people connected via webinar and social networks. The event is achieved by MundoGEO with the release of MundoGEO and InfoGPS portals, InfoGEO, InfoGNSS and Mira magazines, as well as international support from OGC, ISPRS and Gita, and dissemination by Directions Magazine, GIM International, V1 Magazine, Professional Surveyor and Geo Connexion. The first edition of MundoGEO#Connect took place between the 14 and 16 of June of 2011 in Sao Paulo (SP), bringing together over 7500 people.
